As Pakatan Harapan Sabah Youth Chief, I would like to sincerely welcome our friends from the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) for officially joining Pakatan Harapan.

I truly appreciate and commend the efforts poured by UPKO for strengthening the Opposition camp and standing firm in our struggle for the people.

We have shown great unity since 2018 and the Opposition should continue to be steadfast in pursuing a democratic, progressive and inclusive governance.

Pakatan Harapan have gone through major slumps after the Sheraton Move pulled by defectors in 2020. However, we must continue to keep our heads up and focus on our struggle for the people. In times like these when we face a triple crisis of health, economy and politics, we need unity to prevail. United we stand, divided we fall, we must learn from our mistakes and progress forward.

Leaders of the Opposition should come together just like “Avengers” (A blockbuster movie by Marvel Studios). Just like Avengers, we will overcome these dark days when we ourselves are consolidated as one.

We need a team of “Avengers” in times like these to gather everyone together to restore hope and reforms for Sabah and Malaysia.

Last but not least, we have not much time to spare until the next General Election. We must act quick and work together as one “Big Tent” coalition to save Sabah and Malaysia.

I have also called Sdra Felix Joseph, UPKO Malaysia Youth Chief to send my warm regards and welcome him and his party. We will be meeting soon to discuss on issues of youths in Sabah and how to work further together.

Once again, congratulations and thank you to UPKO for bringing new hope to Malaysia amid these difficult moments.
