to ask the Melaka voters to&nbsp;look at the Covid-19 statistics for Malaysia when they cast their vote for the Melaka State Election this 20 November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason is simple: The Covid-19 pandemic, not only in Melaka but in Malaysia, affects every aspect of our life in the country \u2013 the economy, the job situation, schools and universities, travel, the private space of Malaysians whether in sports, recreation, social or family life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">It is unimaginable&nbsp;that Perikatan Nasional and Barisan Nasional leaders have their way that the Melaka State Election could be divorced from the Covid-19 pandemic when the state economic and social scene are directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<p>When the Melaka State Election is held this upcoming Nov. 20, Malaysia would have neared the cumulative totals of 2.6 million Covid-19 cases and 30,000 Covid-19 deaths \u2013 when South Korea, which has a larger population than Malaysia, is ranked No. 73 among nations with the most cumulative totals of 388,359 Covid-19 cases and 3,033 Covid-19 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fastroawani%2Fposts%2F10158430650315965&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"659\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysia is now ranked No. 20 among nations in the world with the most cumulative totals of 2,528,821&nbsp;Covid-19 cases and 29,535 Covid-19 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">What is of grave concern is that in the last three days, the nation seems to have lost control of the surge of increase in daily new Covid-19 cases, with daily new Covid-19 cases rebounded to 5,403 cases on 9<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November, 6,243 cases on 10<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;November and 6,323 cases yesterday.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, Indonesia recorded 436 daily new Covid-19 cases yesterday \u2013 its 28<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;consecutive day in triple-digit numbers &#8211; and 16 Covid-19 deaths, its 42<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;consecutive day in double-digit Covifd-19 deaths as compared to Malaysia\u2019s 6,323 daily new Covid-19 cases and 49 Covid-19 deaths yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Covid.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13982\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\"\/><figcaption><em>For illustration purposes.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<p>Can anyone in the Health Ministry or the Ismail Sabri government explain why Malaysia is performing so poorly as compared to Indonesia in the Covid-19 pandemic \u2013 whether this a serious sign that after losing to Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam, we are losing out to Indonesia?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indonesia fell as low as 242 daily new increase of Covid-19 cases on Nov. 8 and&nbsp;
