The programme, also known as #MalaysiaKerja, is a stimulus package that will provide both wage incentives for workers and hiring incentives for employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysians@Work was launched because the Pakatan Harapan government had recognised the key challenges we face and hence the need to create better employment opportunities for&nbsp;youth and women, while reducing our overdependence on low-skilled foreign workers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Very simply, Malaysians@Work will provide both wage incentives for workers and hiring incentives for employers via the following key thrusts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work-90x90.jpg 90w, https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/malaysia@work-465x465.jpg 465w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Graduates@Work<\/strong>&nbsp;was targeted at the hiring of graduates who are unemployed for &gt;12 months. The hired graduates will receive a wage incentive of&nbsp; RM500\/month, in conjunction with a hiring incentive of up to RM300\/month for each new hire for 2 years. We expect that after 2 years, the previously unemployed graduate would have picked up the necessary skills and competence on-the-job to ensure continued employment with the relevant companies.<br><br><\/li><li><strong>Women@Work<\/strong> was targeted to encourage more women to return to the workforce.
