DAP Secretarty-General, Lim Guan Eng urges the Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Zuraida Kamaruddin to not hide the real truth and facts behind her ministry’s Taman Beringin Solid Waste Project (PSPTB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was after Zuraida plead ignorance regarding the project and out of nowhere accused Lim as former Finance Minister as the one who approved it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did Zuraida in 2019 visited the project that she never knew her ministry approved?<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n

“Zuraida is still trying to manipulate the facts by accusing me of approving the PSPTB project without her knowledge. This is impossible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I would like to reiterate that the standard procedure is for the ministry in charge (in this case KPKT) will apply to the Finance Ministry (MoF) for any direct-negotiation projects to be approved. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hence, there should be an application letter from KPKT to the Finance Ministry.”<\/strong> said Lim in a statement today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stressed that the mentioned KPKT application letter has been sent to MOF in 2018 by the former’s secretary-general (KSU) since the project involves a sizeable amount of RM170.3 million. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is not possible for the KSU of KPKT to write an official letter in 2018 to the MoF without the knowledge or agreement of its minister, namely Zuraida.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf it is true that the application was made without Zuraida\u2019s knowledge, KSU could be subject to disciplinary action.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up until today, Zuraida has still failed to produce a letter given out to KPKT from either MOF or Lim. The Member of Parliament for Bagan added,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hope Zuraida does not hide, hide facts, cover up the truth or run away from the real facts,\u201d <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the same statement, Lim also reminded the current Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul to reveal the list of direct-negotiation projects approved by Barisan Nasional (BN) in the past and by his own government, Perikatan Nasional (PN). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beliau juga menggesa Zafrul untuk memperbetulkan fakta berkenaan 101 projek RT itu, kerana 95 peratus atau RM6.258 bilion nilai projek itu diwarisi daripada pemerintahan BN yang terpaksa diteruskan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
