{"id":14080,"date":"2020-06-10T16:39:19","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T08:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/?p=14080"},"modified":"2020-07-09T14:38:52","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T06:38:52","slug":"if-childcare-centers-are-allowed-to-operate-why-not-kindergartens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/if-childcare-centers-are-allowed-to-operate-why-not-kindergartens\/","title":{"rendered":"If childcare centers are allowed to operate, why not kindergartens?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1168\" height=\"739\" src=\"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Teo_Nie_Ching.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"14082\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.therocket.com.my\/en\/?attachment_id=14082\" class=\"wp-image-14082\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Security Council and Ministry of Education should come out with a SOP and allow kindergartens to resume operation during RMCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daycare centers, which are under the purview of the Women, Families and Community Development Ministry, were allowed to operate since May 4, with strict rules in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, kindergartens and preschools, which are under the purview of the Ministry of Education, are not allowed to operate until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Persatuan Guru Tadika Malaysia, 90% of the preschool operators have offered fee discounts ranging from 30% to 60%.
