The joint action of the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)\u2019s president and group executive director Arul Kanda Kandasamy and former 1MDB CEO Shahrol Halmi \u00a0skipping the Public Accounts Committee\u2019s (PAC) hearing tomorrow<\/span> is really the \u201clast straw the breaks the camel\u2019s back\u201d in the RM42 billion 1MDB scandal.<\/p>\n

It should be a final wake-up call to Malaysians who are still somnolent and thinks there is nothing wrong about the 1MDB scandal.<\/p>\n

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has said in the leaked recording of his speech to four UMNO divisions last week that the 1MDB scandal is the \u201clast straw to break the camel\u2019s back\u201d and would cause downfall of the UMNO\/BN\u00a0 Government.<\/p>\n

This was why he wants the whole board of the 1MDB to be sacked and even investigated by the police.<\/p>\n

The recording of Muhyiddin\u2019s speech since it was uploaded on You Tube in various slots has been\u00a0visited close to half a million times in the past four days.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, there are no signs that the 1MDB Board would be sacked or investigated by the police.<\/p>\n

It is unthinkable Arul Kanda and Shahrol Halmi would not know that their absence from the PAC hearing scheduled tomorrow<\/span> to lay to rest all queries and doubts that there is anything amiss in 1MDB would let loose a tornado and its \u00a0\u00a0\u201cexplosive\u201d effect in confirming all the queries and doubts that there is something seriously and enormously wrong about \u00a01MDB!<\/p>\n

It is also unthinkable that Arul and Shahrol would dare to be absent from the PAC hearing without the greenlight from the highest authorities, even reaching up to the \u00a0Prime Minister-cum-Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is also Chairman of the 1MDB Advisory Panel.<\/p>\n

I fully agree with UMNO veteran and former Finance Minister Tenku Razaleigh Hamzah that the entire Cabinet should be held responsible for the 1MDB scandal, as all the Ministers must be held responsible collectively for it.<\/p>\n

Muhyiddin had said the 1MDB is the \u201clast straw that breaks the camel\u2019s back\u201d which will cause the downfall of the UMNO\/BN Government.<\/p>\n
