They were conferred the Pingat Bakti Setia (PBS) during the second day of the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with the 73rd birthday of the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas.<\/div>\n<div>One of the recipients, Md Rejab Idri, 55, said he did not expect to get this conferment as his teammates were merely carrying out their duties. \u201cI am happy to receive this award together with my colleagues who have been very dedicated and cooperative all the while,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div>The six recipients were unit leader Md Jusoh Md Isa, 55, Zainuddin Ma\u2019assom, 54, V. Arumugom, 57, K. Gannesan, 56, and G. Edmond, 55.<\/div>\n<div>Besides sweeping garbage, their job scope includes cleaning drains, catching wild snakes, and removing fallen trees that block roads.
