DAP advisor Tan Kok Wai is deeply saddened by the passing of the party’s founding chairman and life advisor Dr. Chen Man Hin. The Cheras MP expresses his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Chen’s family.

Tan described Dr. Chen as someone who selflessly dedicated his prime years with great sacrifices and strength to push for Malaysia’s democratisation, which he left an indelible mark.

“Dr. Chen was not only my mentor but also a good friend who guided and shaped me throughout my journey in politics for over 30 years. He was approachable, humble and down to earth, disciplined and righteous, setting a leadership role model for everyone. The entire party holds him in high regard,” said Tan.

Tan shares that Dr. Chen, who was devoted to the people, dedicated his entire life to a build a liberal and democratic, just and equal, prosperous and progressive Malaysia that puts all Malaysians first.

He said, “We must thank this great statesman for all of his contributions. All party members must learn from his unwavering determination and fighting spirit.”
