Malaysia will continue to be peaceful with a Pakatan win

PUCHONG, 21 March: The country will not descend into chaos or bankruptcy if Pakatan Rakyat (PR) administers the Federal Government, says DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng.

Those spreading such rumours are “cowardly” and only do so to create fear in the people, Lim said.

“People who have done wrong will be afraid. Did you steal any shares? Cars? Land? Cows? Why should we be afraid if we did not steal? The one who should be afraid is the Barisan Nasional,”

“BN is afraid that if PR wins, we will not let those who have stolen from public coffers off the hook,” he said during the launching of the DAP Kinrara elections center today.

According to Lim, the threat of chaos and bankruptcy is illogical because the Malaysian people are peace-loving and desire a clean administration.

He pointed out that in the PR-ruled states of Penang, Selangor, Kedah and Kelantan, no such bankrupcy happened. In fact, the state’s cash reserves, investment, and economic potential actually grew after PR took over government.

Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister reminded the audience of former Prime Minister Musa Hitam who shared the view that our nation would not fall into bankruptcy under a PR government.

“BN said the country would be in chaos. I want to ask all of you, are we fighting with each other now? Look at the Bersih rallies, Bersih 2.0, Bersih 3.0… Many Malays came out, together with Indians, Chinese. Where were the fights?” Lim said.

Lim reminded Malaysians not to be fooled by BN’s political game and to be united to see a new PR government in Putrajaya.

“When BN won big, it did not look after the people’s welfare, it didnt give many handouts, unlike now. When they think they are losing now, they start to pretend to care after the people’s welfare.”

“For 50 years, there was no such thing as money for the people. After PR started giving the RM100 senior citizens appreciation gift in Penang, they followed suit. They only start giving money when they have “one foot in the grave,” said Lim.

Also present at the even were DAP Selangor Chairman Teresa Kok, MP for Puchong Gobind Singh Deo, Seri Serdang Coordinator Rosharizan Rozlan, PAS Puchong Treasurer Noor Hanim Ismal, and PKR Puchong Deputy Chairman Ramli Dahlan. -The Rocket
