#InSolidarityWithMH370 initiative

On 16 March 2014 at 8pm, a group of concerned citizens held a candlelight vigil at the  SS2 field to express their support and solidarity with the family members and friends of the passengers and crew of the missing flight MH370. The non-affiliated and neutral citizen’s movement, calling themselves “in Solidarity with MH370”, drew support from a crowd from all walks of life.

The event was also graced by YB Tony Pua (MP for PJ Utara), YB Ong Kian Ming (MP for Serdang), YB Nik Nazmi (the Deputy Speaker for DUN Selangor and Seri Setia ADUN), YB Yeo Bee Yin (Damansara Utama ADUN), YB Lau Weng San (Kampung Tunku ADUN)

In a press statement released today, the group said,

“We pray that their family members and friends will find strength in these trying times and will continue to hope that the flight MH370 will be found soon.

“The road ahead is long and arduous. We stand together to hope and pray that the nation can heal, once the missing crew and passengers return to their loved ones.”

Solidarity with MH370 also expressed the hope that authorities would continue to search and rescue mission for the missing plane, and thanked them for their efforts.

On 8th March 2014, Flight MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) bound for Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) went missing in mid-air with 239 people on board. The location of the plane and passengers are still unknown while investigative and search and rescue efforts are being carried out, led by local authorities.  Aviation experts from all around the world have penned this incident as one of the greatest mysteries in commercial flight history. -The Rocket
