Tanda Putera screened to UIA students

The movie has yet to open to the public, but at least two groups have already seen it! After the controversial May 13-themed film Tanda Putra was screened to FELDA residents last week, UIA has held a private preview of the film for its students on 10 March. The university gave merit points to Police Undergraduate Voluntary Corps and residential college residents who attended the screening.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has initiated legal action against UMNO-owned Utusan Malaysia and TV3 for broadcasting and publishing allegations that the PKR de-facto leader was behind the Lahad Datu armed conflict. Anwar has previously won numerous lawsuits against Utusan Malaysia.

 

 

MACC thinks BR1M is not vote-buying

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is of the opinion that the RM500 cash handouts widely known as BR1M and the subsequent promises by the ruling Barisan Nasional to increase the amount of handouts does not amount to vote buying.

Flyover built during BN era collapses

A flyover on the road to Selangor Science Park II has collapsed, a week after the second Terengganu Stadium roof caved in. The PKNS project commenced in 2007 and was completed in 2009 and handed over to PLUS and the Malaysian Highway Authority.

 

Selangor to set up RM10 million fund for the fallen

Pakatan Rakyat led Selangor State Government will be setting up a RM10 million special fund for members of the police and the armed forces who are slain while fighting off armed intruders in Lahad Datu and other regions of Sabah.
